On-Device Processing Guarantee

Frametaro’s core video tools—including the Video Compressor, Video Converter, and AI Video Upscaler—process video files directly within your browser session using client-side WebCodecs, WebAssembly, and WebGPU technologies. Your video files are never uploaded to, transmitted across, or stored on Frametaro servers.

1. Introduction and Scope

This Privacy Policy describes the principles, policies, and practices of Frametaro ("Frametaro," "we," "our," or "us") regarding the collection, use, maintenance, and disclosure of information when you access or use the website located at https://frametaro.com (the "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.

2. Video Files and Media Processing Architecture

Frametaro is architected from the ground up as a client-side web utility. When you select a video for compression, conversion, or upscaling:

  • Local execution: Media decoders, encoders, and machine-learning models run inside your web browser’s sandbox using the WebCodecs API, WebAssembly runtimes, and WebGPU compute pipelines.
  • No remote uploads: Your video frames, audio tracks, and container files never leave your device’s local memory. Frametaro does not operate server-side media processing infrastructure that ingests or receives your video content.
  • No content scanning or inspection: Because media processing occurs exclusively on your machine, we have neither the ability nor the infrastructure to view, inspect, catalog, or index the content of your video files.

3. File Storage, Temporary Buffers, and Deletion

Because video manipulation occurs locally, output files are created as temporary in-memory Object URLs (blob: URLs) allocated by your operating system and web browser.

These temporary buffers exist exclusively in your device's memory for the duration of your tab session. When you click download, the completed file is saved directly to your local file system. When you close or refresh the browser tab, all allocated buffers are immediately discarded and garbage-collected by your browser. No files are retained on our servers because none were ever sent to them.

4. Information Users Provide Voluntarily

You can use all of Frametaro’s tools anonymously without creating an account, registering an email address, or submitting personal credentials.

The only information you provide voluntarily is information you choose to submit when communicating with us directly (such as sending feedback, bug reports, or support inquiries via email). This may include your email address, your name, and any contextual information you include in your message. We use this information solely to respond to your specific inquiry.

5. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit Frametaro, our web hosting provider and content delivery network (CDN) may automatically record standard, technical request logs generated by your web browser. This information typically includes:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address;
  • Browser type and version;
  • Operating system and device platform;
  • Referring website address and URL path visited;
  • Date, time, and duration of the HTTP request;
  • HTTP status response codes and bytes transferred.

These access logs are utilized strictly for network diagnostic purposes, server infrastructure maintenance, DDoS mitigation, and ensuring platform availability.

6. Cookies and Local Storage Technologies

Frametaro prioritizes user privacy and minimizes the use of client-side storage technologies:

  • Analytics cookies: Frametaro uses Google Analytics 4, which creates first-party performance cookies (such as _ga and _ga_VLJZS1Q6EP) stored on your browser to measure aggregated traffic patterns and distinguish unique browser sessions.
  • Theme preference: We store your chosen color theme preference (Light, Dark, or System) in your browser’s localStorage under the key vidtaro-theme. This prevents page flickering on subsequent visits.
  • AI model cache: When using the AI Video Upscaler, your browser may cache public ONNX neural network model weights using standard HTTP browser cache or IndexedDB to prevent re-downloading model assets on subsequent sessions.

7. Analytics and Website Monitoring

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analysis service provided by Google LLC (“Google”), under Measurement ID G-VLJZS1Q6EP. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect aggregate, technical information about how visitors engage with Frametaro, such as pages visited, session duration, approximate geographic region (country and city level), operating system, browser type, and referring sources.

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses; IP addresses are masked and anonymized at the point of collection. Under no circumstances is your video content, audio files, processed media frames, or file filenames shared with or accessed by Google Analytics—all media processing remains strictly on-device.

You can prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics across all websites by installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by configuring your web browser to block third-party scripts and cookies.

8. Advertising and Third-Party Disclosures

Third-party advertising services (such as Google AdSense) are currently not serving live advertisements on Frametaro.

If Frametaro incorporates third-party advertising in the future to support free tool operations:

  • Third-party ad networks, including Google, may use cookies or web beacons to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites.
  • Users will be provided with appropriate regional consent mechanisms (such as consent banners for European Economic Area, UK, and California visitors) prior to the activation of non-essential advertising cookies.
  • This Privacy Policy will be promptly updated to disclose the active advertising vendors and instructions for opting out of personalized advertising (e.g., via aboutads.info).

9. Third-Party Services and External Resources

To deliver an optimal user interface, Frametaro loads select static assets from trusted content networks:

  • Web fonts: We utilize Google Fonts to serve font stylesheets (Geist font family). Requests to font CDNs transmit standard browser metadata as governed by Google’s privacy practices.
  • External links: Frametaro may contain links to external websites, specifications, or community resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or compliance of third-party websites.

10. Data Retention and Security

Because video data is processed on-device and never sent to our servers, we maintain zero retention of your media. Correspondence sent to our support channels is retained only as long as necessary to address your inquiry or satisfy legitimate operational requirements.

While on-device architecture inherently minimizes exposure to remote server breaches, users are encouraged to maintain up-to-date operating systems and web browsers to benefit from modern security sandboxing.

11. Children's Privacy

Frametaro is a general-audience technical utility and is not directed at or intended for children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete the correspondence immediately.

12. User Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on your geographic location, you may hold statutory rights under applicable privacy laws, such as the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK Data Protection Act, or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). These rights may include:

  • The right to request access to personal information we hold about you;
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate personal data;
  • The right to request deletion of your personal communications;
  • The right to withdraw consent or object to processing.

Because we do not maintain user accounts, profiles, or databases of user activity, we have no personal data associated with your site usage to provide or delete. For inquiries regarding direct communications, contact our privacy coordinator using the details below.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect technological enhancements, operational changes, or legal obligations. When updates occur, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of Frametaro after any modifications signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.
